Andre Russell is one of the best and most popular cricketers worldwide. Andre Russell was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on 29th April 1998. His full name is Andre Dwayne Russell, and his nickname is Dre Russ. He was married to Jassym Lora, an American model, in 2016. And Andre Russell also has a beautiful daughter. He is a professional cricketer who plays for Jamaica and the West Indies as an all-rounder.
He is one of the top fantasy cricket players, loved by everyone who plays it, and widely supported by international fans in different cricket matches. In his earlier career, he started in the year 2010 playing cricket at Barnards Green Cricket Club in Worcestershire, England. From here, he secured promotion to Birmingham Cricket League. In the third ODI, he scored ninety-two not out off the sixty-four balls when he was dropped out from the One Day Internationals. However, as the saying goes, if you did not fail at the short steps, you did not achieve great success, or you do not value your success. And so, after participating in a total of four One Day Internationals, he was named the Player of the match in the fifth One Day International as he performed very well in the ODI against the Indian cricket team. In 2016, his name was listed in the Team of the Tournament for the ICC, Cricinfo, and Cricbuzz Twenty-Twenty World Cup.
Andre Russell has achieved great success in his cricket career. Till now has played more than three hundred Twenty-twenty matches. In 2018, Andre Russell showed his outstanding performance in Caribbean Premier League as he scored a century in forty balls and took a hattrick in the exact match. In 2019, his name got listed in the West Indies Squad For the World Cup matches. In the 2019 world cup match, he played against Australia and became the quickest batsman. However, again he faced a fall in his cricket journey as he was ruled from the tournament matches and replaced by Sunil Ambruis due to his knee injury.
In 2021, on 9th July, Russell played against Australia in Twenty-Twenty matches and scored a half-century. And so, again, he was listed in the West Indies Squad for the ICC Men’s Twenty-Twenty world cup, 2021.
